Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway admitted that she "truly feels for" King Charles after a difficult year as the UK marks one year since the sad death of the Queen.
The TV presenter, 56, discussed "everything that has happened" between Charles' warring two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, all while dealing with grief from the passing of the late Queen, during Friday's episode of GMB. On September 8, 2022, the world faced a devastating blow when it was announced that the Queen had died at the age of 96. Her record-breaking reign of over 70 years is the longest of any British monarch and the longest verified reign of any female head of state in history.
But when she passed away "peacefully", aged 96, at her beloved Balmoral estate in Scotland, the grief was palpable. This morning, Kate told co-host Ben Shephard: "It has been a very difficult year for the King I feel. With everything that has happened between William and Harry and the release of Spare and the Netflix documentary, it feels as though it will be hard to come back from that.
"I feel for Charles because of his two warring sons, especially all the while grieving over the Queen". Kate and Ben were joined by Jonathan Dimbleby, a friend of King Charles, who reflected on the first year of the new monarch's reign. He said: "He was never in a rush...
he's very diligent and works very very hard but he's different from his mother." Kate seemed to be referring to the family turmoil surround the King's warring sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. The last time Harry saw his brother and father was at the King's Coronation on May 6, which Harry's wife Meghan Markle did not attend. King Charles has marked a year since the passing of his mum, the late Queen Elizabeth
