The first image of the new ledger stone at the Queen's final resting place in Windsor Castle has been released by the Royal Family. The stone has been inscribed with the Queen's name alongside her mother, father and husband's name in the King George VI Memorial Chapel in St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, where the late monarch was buried.

Prince William told funeral workers in Windsor that he got “choked up” seeing Paddington Bear tributes to the Queen as he carried out his first engagement since her funeral. William and Kate Middleton greeted volunteers and operational staff and praised their work during events surrounding the Queen’s committal service in Windsor. The pair, who wore black as they continue to observe the royal mourning period, met about 30 people at Windsor Guildhall on Thursday afternoon.

Following the Queen’s funeral at Westminster Abbey on 19 September, her coffin travelled in the State Hearse to Windsor where she will be laid to rest. Ahead of her burial alongside Prince Philip at St George’s Chapel, there was a committal service for Her late Majesty in Windsor.The Queen’s coffin travelled from London to Windsor and along the way, it drove past the statues of her parents, King George VI and Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.The coffin procession went past the bronze statues, which are situated between The Mall and Carlton Gardens, in moving scenes and during the time, Sky Royal Events Commentator Alastair Bruce's powerful words left many viewers at home in tears. "The Queen passes her two proud parents, watching from the side of the Mall," he said.

The 42 year old star is married to Lord Frederick Windsor, the son of the Queen’s cousin Prince Michael of Kent, and appeared alongside him at Westminster Abbey on Monday.The couple also attended the vigil at the Lying-In-State over the weekend.

It’s been an emotional week for the royal family, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II last Thursday. And it seems that as the Queen’s coffin arrived at Westminster Hall yesterday afternoon, it all got a bit much for Lady Gabriella Windsor, who appeared to faint shortly after Her Majesty’s arrival.There appeared to be a rather small commotion where members of the royal family stood, watching the coffin be brought inside. Lady Gabriella's husband, Thomas Kingston , could be seen aiding someone, as her mother, Princess Michael of Kent appeared to look towards her daughter with some concern, as did her brother and sister-in-law Lord Frederick Windsor and Sophie Winkleman.
