In several pictures taken of the former Prince and Princess of Wales, before Diana's death in 1997, Charles is appearing to be standing several inches taller than his then wife, despite the couple having been reported, according to the Mirror, to be the same height - just under 5ft 9.
It was said that Princess Diana would often wear flat shoes or footwear with a very small heel so that she didn't tower over her then-husband. However, photos including their official engagement photo, anniversary snaps and cute family portraits have baffled people.
One fan previously took to social media to share a series of pictures of the now King looking taller than Diana as others took to the comments section to discuss the unusual detail.
Someone wrote: "That's why she always tilted her head down. She also wore flats or very short heels." As someone else said His Majesty may have been "standing on a box" in the photos to give people the illusion that he was significantly taller than her.
