A bag of cannabis along with drug paraphernalia were uncovered by police after a vehicle was stopped in the Terminal 2 car park at Manchester Airport on Thursday morning (October 5).
Officers spotted the car close to the airport before it was stopped a short time later in the car park, at around 10am. A man, aged 35, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs and is in custody for questioning.
Police said that incidents involving drugs are 'rare' due to 'extensive security operations' involving officers at the airport.
