Police have confirmed a fire at an Alexandria industrial unit is being treated as wilful.
Detectives at Dumbarton are appealing for any information over the blaze, which ripped through the business premises on Sunday, September 4.
The alarm was raised at around 8.15pm in Lomond Industrial Estate.
Four fire engines rushed to the scene with crews working to extinguish the blaze into the following day.
Police say they are working to establish if the fire is linked to previous fires set in the West Dunbartonshire area in the past few months.
Detective Sergeant Bruce Fyfe said: “Luckily no one was injured as a result of this fire, however the consequences could have been much more serious. “Fires cause extensive damage and pose a significant risk to the public as well as impacting the local community. “We are working to establish if this is linked to previous fires set in the West Dunbartonshire area in the past few months and enquiries are ongoing into each of them. “There was a large crowd gathered on police attendance and we would urge anyone who has not yet spoken to police to contact us as they may have information that will assist our investigation. “Anyone with information should contact 101 with reference 3490 of 4 September. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
