Work has begun on several Greater Manchester schools affected by dangerous crumbly concrete as 'mitigating measures' are put in place.
Pictures show construction beginning on Altrincham College and Sale Grammar - two of the six schools in the region confirmed to have reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC).
It comes after education secretary Gillian Keegan admitted this morning that 'hundreds' of schools could be affected by the material, which poses a collapse risk.

Around 1,500 schools are still yet to return surveys on the material, she said, adding that the government would aim to publish a list of all affected schools later this week.
