Phillip Schofield unfollows Holly Willoughby ahead of first NTAs after show exit

Phillip Schofield has unfollowed former pal Holly Willoughby on Instagram, just hours before she's due to attend the NTAs on Tuesday evening. Whilst it was no secret that the once-close friendship between the former This Morning colleagues has soured, Phillip unfollowing Holly on social media seems to signal that there is no way back for the pair.
Tuesday's NTAs will mark the first of that award ceremony that have been held since Phillip's shock departure from This Morning earlier this year, after he admitted to a long-term affair with a young male colleague on the show.
He's since been dropped by his management, ITV shows and lucrative advertising deals. Phillip and Holly were once the darlings of TV as a presenting duo, and they notably used to attend the NTAs together, often posting hilarious social media posts about their boozy antics.
But, having been all but erased from ITV, Phillip is not thought to be attending the event, at which he was once one of its most high-profile invitees. There seems to be significance behind him choosing today of all days to unfollow Holly - as no doubt the sight of her inevitable social media posts at the NTAs will be too much for him to bear.
At the time of writing this article, Holly still appears to be following Phillip on Instagram. Once regarded as one of TV's biggest stars, Phillip suffered a spectacular fall from grace earlier this year, as reports of a rift between himself and his co-star Holly started to emerge.
