Dermot O'Leary gushes over 'nice group' of This Morning presenters after Phillip Schofield scandal

Dermot O'Leary gushed over Holly Willoughby and the rest of his fellow This Morning presenters as he chatted to Lorraine Kelly on Wednesday.
The former X Factor host, 50, appeared on ITV today to speak to Lorraine ahead of the launch of his new children's book. However, the conversation soon turned to his co-host Alison Hammond and the rest of their This Morning family.
Dermot and Alison joined This Morning in 2021 after husband and wife duo Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford were axed from their role after 15 years. Speaking about their on-screen banter, Lorraine said: “You and Alison are like brother and sister isn’t it? It really is very naughty and very cheeky.”
Dermot replied: “I feel very lucky, I’ve known Holly for a very long time, we started out on X Factor.”
The presenter praised Holly, who he worked with previously on The X Factor for years, as he is now one of the rotating hosts working with her on This Morning. Holly presents the ITV show four days a week joined by Alison, Dermot, Craig Doyle and Josie Gibson.
Dermot continued: “To be able to do it with Holly and then the last couple of years have that chemistry with Alison and, like you said, she is like a sister, so we have a lot of fun.
“It’s a nice team you know, it’s a nice group of the five of us. Me and Craig [Doyle] keep in touch, We had a lovely night at the NTAs together and Josie’s [Gibson] brill, it’s a nice vibe.”
Lorraine added that it’s like a second family because of how much time colleagues spend together at work as Dermot agreed.
