Phillip Schofield has broken his silence after it was claimed that he could potentially join TalkTV.The move would see him join Piers Morgan and Jeremy Kyle at the TV channel. Phillip stepped down with 'immediate effect' from This Morning last month, amid reports of a feud between him and co-host Holly Willoughby.
Following his resignation, Phillip then admitted to having an affair with a much younger male colleague while working at ITV, apologising for 'lying' to staff, friends and family. Following his resignation, the TV presenter told the BBC that he believed his career was over, and that he must now talk about it in the "past tense." However, PR expert Andy Barr has suggested that this may not actually be the case.
Andy, who is CEO of 10 Yetis Digital, told the Daily Star: "TalkTV could be the career rebuilding platform that Schofield needs right now. If the current media spotlight reveals no new allegations then this is entirely recoverable for him and TalkTV could be the perfect place for him to start again in a high-profile media environment." But Phillip's representatives have since rubbished these claims.
Speaking to The Mirror, his lawyer was asked if his client is considering joining TalkTV, to which he replied: "Absolutely not as far as I know." TalkTV's most prominent personality is Piers Morgan, who has been one the few to defend the former This Morning host. He argued: "argued: "Unless the young man comes out and contradicts Phillip Schofield’s version of events or somebody else comes out with new revelations, what else do people want?" "Phillip Schofield is a broken guy, he’s not going to work on television again almost certainly.
He’s lost everything in his life. I don’t know what more the baying mob on
