Phillip Schofield has been spotted smiling as he reunites with former This Morning co-star Vanessa Feltz. The pair were seen as they left the trendy Little Bird restaurant in Chiswick, West London, as they beamed with bright smiles walking out of the eatery, The Mirror reports.
Phillip, 61, has been keeping a low profile following the This Morning scandal which saw him leave his role on the show and sever ties with ITV completely. After reports emerged that Phillip was barely speaking to former best mate Holly Willoughby, he stepped down from the show but later revealed he had an affair with a younger male colleague on set.
Following the scandal, Phillip has stated that his career is over and spends much of his time in Newquay, Cornwall with his 87-year-old mother Pat. However, in photos obtained by MailOnline, the disgraced TV star can be seen beaming alongside his close pal Vanessa.
Following the scandal, Vanessa was one of the people most vocal with her support for Phillip. In June, she said: “I’m absolutely devastated on behalf of everyone. I’ve always been good friends with Holly and Phil, I’ve been on that show for years and years. I just feel very sorry for anybody who’s been hurt or implicated in what’s happened. I hope the show will continue."
Referring to the alleged toxic atmosphere, Vanessa said: “I’ve never seen anything toxic in my life – and that’s the truth! I’ve never seen, heard anything! Anything other than just nice people being nice. I’m not just saying that. I would tell the truth.
"Even last week, or the week before, I didn’t see anything. It’s come as a big shock to me and I think to lots of contributors. People who say, ‘Everyone knew’ – it’s not true. It’s absolute rubbish!"
