ITV's This Morning has been nominated for a National Television Award despite the controversy surrounding the show's former presenter Phillip Schofield. The 61-year-old resigned from ITV and left his talent agency after it was discovered he had been in a relationship with a younger male colleague at the show.
Holly Willoughby continues to host the show in his absence along with a series of guest co-hosts. Meanwhile, MPs have asked ITV bosses to address claims of toxicity and bullying behind the scenes of the show.
This Morning has been nominated for best daytime show at the National Television Awards, which it won last year. It will defend its title against The Chase, Loose Women and The Repair Shop.

Schofield and Willoughby had been longlisted for best TV presenter alongside fellow hosts Alison Hammond, Dermot O’Leary, Rylan Clark and Martin Lewis. However, only Hammond made the shortlist. They will compete against Ant and Dec, who have won the award for 21 years in a row, along with The Traitors host Claudia Winkleman and The Chase’s Bradley Walsh.
Dame Deborah James and Paul O'Grady have both been nominated for awards posthumously. Dame Deborah has been nominated in the authored documentary category for Bowelbabe In Her Own Words. The 40-year-old died of bowel cancer last year and set up the Bowelbabe cancer research fund.
O'Grady's For The Love Of Dogs has been listed in the factual entertainment category. It will compete against Clarkson's Farm, Sort Your Life Out and The Martin Lewis Money Show Live.
Ant and Dec both have two shows up for the Bruce Forsyth entertainment award. They are I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! and
