Phil Foden admitted he's been 'frustrated' by his lack of luck in front of goal so far this season and is looking to improve his output.
Manchester City continued their 100 per cent start to the season on Saturday with a hard-fought 2-0 win over Nottingham Forst. It was Foden who actually opened the scoring after seven minutes when he hammered in Kyle Walker's knock-back and Erling Haaland doubled the lead shortly afterwards as he headed home a great move.
Though he's still been picking up assists, the strike was only Foden's first goal of the season after nine matches in all competitions, a surprisingly fallow return for a player who netted 15 times last season. Foden has been disappointed with his lack of goals and is hoping they begin to flow now he's broken his duck.
"I’ve been on a little goal drought this year and I see myself as a goal scorer, so I’ve been a bit frustrated," he admitted. "I try to keep making the runs and getting in the right areas. Today it came off and delighted with the finish.

"Not [goal] targets because you can put too much pressure on yourself. I see myself creating chances and scoring or assisting. I’ve not really scored this year so it’s something to improve and it’s a step in the right direction scoring today."
As well as his goal, Foden was delighted with the victory as the Blues competed for almost all of the second half with 10 men. Rodri got dismissed after raising his hands to the throat of Morgan Gibbs-White but City came through without even conceding.
Foden believes the win showed a different quality City possesses. "It was a game of two
