King Charles’ Coronation will see the Stone of Destiny return to England for the first time in more than a quarter of a century. The stone, which is to play a key role in the historic royal ceremony, is to be transported under tight security and placed beneath the Coronation Chair at Westminster Abbey. It will be the artefact’s first outing south of the border since it was officially returned to Scotland after 700 years in 1996 by then prime minister John Major.The Stone of Destiny is an ancient symbol of Scotland’s monarchy, used for centuries in the inauguration of its kings.

Meghan Markle won’t be attending King Charles’ coronation with Prince Harry, but she still has plenty of plans that weekend.

After the dramatic statement announced by Buckingham Palace on Wednesday regarding Harry and Meghan’s attendance at the coronation, King Charles is said to be “very disappointed” that he won't be seeing Meghan or his grandchildren, but is “happy” that his son Harry will be there. Prince Harry, 38, will be travelling to the UK from his home in California where his wife Meghan, 41, will remain with son Archie, 3, and one year old daughter Lilibet.
