On May 6 the eyes of the world will be on King Charles as he is officially crowned King in a centuries old ceremony. And in a bid to ensure everything goes perfectly, OK! magazine can reveal the King is using an 'exact copy of Westminster Abbey' to practise the Coronation in private.
Explaining how this works, royal expert Jennie Bond told OK!: “They’ve got a full rehearsal set up at Buckingham Palace." The Royal Household came up with the ingenious plan to cause less disruption to their already busy schedules and arranged for a “movie set” style copy of the Coronation venue to be built. Jennie explained: “It’s a facsimile model of the altar at Westminster Abbey, built in Buckingham Palace - almost an exact copy of what is there, so King Charles and the rest of the family will be able to practise walking up and down the steps and sitting in the right place.
Of course, William’s going to be involved in that as well. So there's a heck of a lot going on.
“The replica has been built in the Ballroom, with the altar and exact copies of where all the things for the ceremony will go at Westminster Abbey.” In their spare moments, members of the Royal Family will be using the space to ensure they get things right, but King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla were also very conscious that the prep shouldn’t have to disrupt the everyday running of Westminster Abbey. The historic church welcomes more than one million guests every year. “The reason for building the ‘set’ is that officials then don't have to close the Abbey for lots of rehearsals,” Jennie said.

Lots of people in this coronation week look toward the history of the royals – none more so than the late Princess Diana who, without doubt, will be solely missed by so many.Time moves on, and people have different feelings - especially Prince Harry, who has been less than kind about his stepmother Camilla. The Camilla Effect has been hard for Harry to swallow despite her obvious love for him, which I witnessed many times while on location.
One of Queen Camilla’s closest aides is ruffling feathers in Buckingham Palace, as she takes on what might be the toughest job for royal aides.Jacqui Meakin is Dresser to the Queen, putting her in charge of choosing outfits for the most senior woman in the royal family. But Camilla’s long-time dresser has been raising eyebrows among other Palace servants by asking what other royals are planning to wear — and enforcing the royal rule that Queen Consort Camilla’s preferences come first. That makes Meakin the target of Palace whispers and a cruel nickname: she is known as “Ms. Meakin.”“She’s very petite but has a big character,” says one palace insider.

jig is up — and it’s going viral. As things are shaking up in Buckingham Palace, Princess of Wales Kate Middleton’s savvy secret to looking picture-perfect in photos is becoming all the rage online. “Royals fans are going crazy for the ‘Princess Shuffle’ that Kate uses to discreetly get closer to people in pictures,” wrote TikTok account @The.Royal.Watcher — a profile dedicated to all things related to the crown. The clip, which has fetched a staggering 2.4 million views, features recently resurfaced footage of Middleton, 41, meeting with Mary, Crown Princess of Denmark, and Queen Margrethe II at Christian IX’s Palace in February 2022.As royal photographers begin snapping frames of the distinguished dignitaries, Middleton, donning a posh pair of black stilettos, is seen doing a subtle heel-to-toe jig, scooting closer to her hosts without looking down at her feet. And fans of the well-regarded Windsor family are going wild over the footwork. “‘The Princess Shuffle!’ I love everything about this,” praised a diehard of Middleton’s moves. “That’s a neat trick! Years of practice!” cheered another. “Shufffffffle!! Discreet and elegant love you Kate,” an equally impressed fanatic raved. “And in heels! I would definitely get caught on the carpet and wipe out,” another joked. However, not everyone was dazzled by the royal’s ability to photogenically cut a rug. “This is less discreet and less smooth than just taking that tiny step over,” spat an underwhelmed onlooker. “You mean she takes a step to the side? I’m certain that is the most important thing she has done in years,” said another, lightly shading Middleton, wife to Prince William and mother of three. #fyp #katemiddleton #katemiddletonstyle #princessofwales #princewilliam

In a recent interview on GB News, Burrell said he thinks that her youngest son will be seated "10 rows back" at his father's coronation and won't "even see" Charles or his brother Prince William during the event. "He's coming to show face," Burrell told the outlet.
