Masked youths filmed themselves using a rocket launcher to shoot fireworks at police during riots in Niddrie on Bonfire Night.
Officers are currently involved in a stand-off with around 100 youths in the Hay Avenue area of the Edinburgh suburb on Sunday night.
Shocking mobile phone footage shows one thug shouting “Get it on his head. Go on”, as another reckless yob lobs a projectile at riot cops.
Moments later, the footage shows a third person holding a large bazooka-style launcher which they are using to blast off their rockets.
In the background, one man can be heard talking about going to the shop “for supplies” suggesting they have no plans to stop the carnage.

As additional fireworks blast into the line of cops, who are equipped with protective shields, a man is heard saying: “F****** hell, that’s got to be sore surely?”
Around a dozen public order police officers then begin to run towards the gang of youths, with some running away.
Drone footage, shared with the Daily Record, also shows one youth throwing a petrol bomb at the line of officers, who are forced to move backwards as it sets the ground on fire.
A number of roads in the area have been closed with bus services diverted.
A statement from Police Scotland said: “We are currently dealing with an incident of significant disorder in the Hay Avenue area of Edinburgh, which began around 4.40pm this afternoon.
“Reports were received of a large number of youths involved in the antisocial use of fireworks and local officers requested support from the #OpMoonbeam specially-trained Public Order resource.
