New coronavirus wedding rules in Ohio ignite backlash

Ohio residents should reconsider traveling to the state of Ohio. The Ohio Department of Health’s list of states with a travel advisory — because of high COVID-19 testing positivity rates — now includes Ohio.

Oh deer!  Residents of an Ohio nursing home went for a holiday “deer hunt” earlier this week. On Monday, the staff at Continental Manor in Blanchester, Ohio, dressed as reindeer while residents sitting at a distance used nerf guns to “hunt” them.

Ohio state GOP lawmakers on Tuesday filed articles of impeachment against Republican Gov. Mike DeWine over his mask mandate and order for businesses to close to curtail the spread of COVID-19.

An Ohio man was arrested over the weekend after allegedly pulling out brass knuckles after refusing to wear a mask while shopping at Walmart. Colyn Tusing, 20, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon inside a Walmart store in the city of Sandusky.

Right before an Ohio restaurant temporarily closed its doors because of the state’s rising coronavirus cases, a customer stepped in to buy a $7 beer -- and left a $3,000 tip for the staff on his way out.  On Sunday, Brendan Ring, the owner of Nighttown in Columbus, Ohio, posted about the generous tip on social media.  According to the post, the customer ordered his drink right before Nighttown closed for the night. Sunday was also the restaurant’s last day before it temporarily closed.

A 24-year-old Ohio woman who was trapped inside a sinking minivan after crashing into a river Sunday night was rescued by quick-thinking police officers who jumped into the cold waters and pulled her to safety. The woman was driving home from work around 9 p.m.

A health official from Ohio's Cleveland Clinic on Monday said nearly 1,000 of the hospital’s caregivers have been affected by COVID-19. “We are experiencing close to 1,000 of our caregivers who have been affected by COVID-19 and unable to come in and care for those patients,” Kelly Hancock, chief caregiver officer at Cleveland Clinic, said during an interview on CNBC’s "The News with Shepard Smith." Hancock’s comments coincided with an announcement from Ohio Gov.

A man in Ohio has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder after he offered a price of $20,000 to make his wife “disappear,” according to the FBI. Scott Allen Renninger, 52, of Uniontown, Ohio, was arrested at his home Tuesday morning.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine issued a 21-day curfew starting Tuesday to combat the spread of the coronavirus, which is seeing a resurgence in cases across the country.  The curfew will run from 10 p.m.
