Netflix Cancels 9 TV Shows in 2023 (with Mindhunter's Fate Finally Addressed)

Earlier this week, at The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, Netflix held a special AMPAS Screening of “The Killer” followed by a Q&A with the film’s director David Fincher,  the movie’s star Michael Fassbender, moderated by filmmaker Rian Johnson (“Looper”). And now, that whole conversation has made its way online.

Cold Pursuit starring Liam Neeson has topped the film chart on Netflix UK.Directed by Hans Petter Moland, the 2019 action thriller follows snowplow driver Nels Coxman (Neeson) who sets out on a revenge mission against members of a drug cartel following the murder of his son.READ MORE: ‘The Killer’ review: not quite top-tier David Fincher but he still hits the targetThe film is a remake of the 2014 Norwegian film In Order Of Disappearance, also directed by Moland. Other cast members in Cold Pursuit include Tom Bateman, Tom Jackson, Emmy Rossum, John Doman and Laura Dern.Elsewhere in the film chart on Thursday (November 16), David Fincher’s The Killer dropped to second place following its release on Netflix last week (November 10).Focus, a crime comedy-drama starring Will Smith and Margot Robbie, is third on the chart, followed by Bryan Singer’s 2013 film Jack And The Giant Slayer.

During Thursday’s brand-new episode of The Kardashians on Hulu, things finally came to a head regarding Tristan Thompson‘s son with Maralee Nichols.

Broadway began its trek into the lucrative holiday season last week at a steady clip, with the 28 shows grossing a total of $29,163,440 for the week ending November 12. That’s up about 10% over the previous week, though down about the same percentage from last year at this time.

This may ruffle some feathers: speaking to Le Monde about his latest film “The Killer,” David Fincher made some semi-controversial remarks regarding the state of the filmmaking industry. His take?  Netflix, the streamer that’s produced his last two films, is the best place in Hollywood to make movies right now.

Lauryn Hill has responded to those who have complained about her missing recent shows, saying that fans are “lucky” she makes it on stage every night. The former Fugees singer, who is currently on tour around North America celebrating the 25th anniversary of her Grammy-winning debut solo album ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’, has had to cancel or postpone multiple shows due to an ongoing vocal injury. A concert in Philadelphia on October 22 had to be moved, while Hill was forced to cancel an October 30 show in Fort Worth, Texas.

Bodies starring Stephen Graham has topped the Netflix UK charts this week.On Thursday (November 2), the crime thriller series was the most popular TV show on the streaming service in the UK. Based on the DC graphic novel, it follows four detectives across four different time periods as they attempt to solve a murder.The second most popular is Get Gotti, a documentary series which follows the FBI’s battle to bring down infamous mob moss John Gotti.Other shows in the top ten include Beckham, Mike Flanagan’s The Fall Of The House Of Usher and BBC documentary series Conviction.

We Came As Romans cancelled show in Providence earlier this week (October 22) following an incident fans allegedly had with security guards.The group was set to play the Fete Music Hall in Providence, when the alleged incident occurred during the set of Bodysnatcher, one of the bands supporting the show. The band alleged fans were “wrongfully and aggressively dragged out of the venue.”In their statement, the band said: “Our show in Providence, RI last night had to be canceled.
