A man has appeared in court charged with murder after a mum was found dead in a flat in Edinburgh.
Dawn Trusler, 45, was discovered within a property on Stenhouse Gardens North in the capital at around 9.30am on Monday, February 21.
Joseph Cummings appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today charged with murder.
The 37-year-old also faces two other charges under the Police and Fire Reform (Scotland) act and the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act
He made no plea and was remanded in custody.
The case was committed for further examination and Cummings will reappear at court within the next eight days.
Dawn's passing has left her friends and family totally heartbroken.
Following the devastating news tributes flooded in for the Edinburgh mum, who has been described as a 'loyal friend' who 'will be sadly missed'.
Victoria Lamb led the tributes on Facebook. She said: “RIP beautiful angel, taken from us so soon. Thinking of family at this time.
“Can’t believe this has happened to a beautiful woman. So kind and a loyal friend – I’m in shock.”
Victoria Mclauchlan said: “My heart goes out to all of her beautiful children and the rest of the family are all in my prayers.”
Chloe Botley said: “Wow this is so sad. Rest in piece Dawn Trusler. What a horrible world we live in.”
Nikki Leith said: “RIP beautiful. GBNF!”
Heather Steele said: “RIP Dawn. Sleep tight hunni GBNF.”
