The Met Office is warning parts of the country to be braced for a weekend of wind and rain as more weather warnings have been issued.
A yellow warning of wind, which covers the whole of the UK apart from the southeast of England, has been issued for 6am on Sunday until 6am on Monday. The alert says strong winds may bring disruption to travel and utilities.
Areas affected by the alert include the whole of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, the Midlands, North West, North East, Yorkshire, and South West England. The Met Office has issued a separate yellow rain warning over the same time period for parts of the North East, Lancashire, Cumbria and North Yorkshire.

The current Met Office UK forecast for Saturday to Monday says: "Turning mild, wet and windy through the weekend and into next week. Gales or severe gales likely on Sunday, especially in the northwest. Locally heavy outbreaks of rain at times."
Looking ahead from Monday to Wednesday it adds: "There is potential for strong winds to be across the country at first on Monday, especially in the north at first, but it will be much milder. Rain is also likely at first although potentially becoming drier for a time in the south.
"The milder than normal conditions seem most likely to persist through to the end of January, with the greatest chance of unsettled conditions likely to be focussed across the north and northwest." Current weather radar forecasts show gusts of nearly 50mph in parts of the region on Sunday.
