In the latest research by Savills and the Telegraph, Salford was listed in the top 10 ‘best value cities for quality of life’ in 2024 - promising a favourable ratio of property costs to household income and a desirable lifestyle.
A notable success in Salford is the regeneration of Salford Quays, the rejuvenated hub on the old docks, as highlighted by the Telegraph. It includes the prominent Media City, which houses the BBC, ITV studios, Warner Bros, Salford University, the Lowry theatre, and the Imperial War Museum North - attracting professionals and visitors alike.

With the ongoing urban regeneration projects, a waterfront boasting picturesque scenic canals and modern apartments, there is no doubt Salford Quays has a lot to offer - so the Manchester Evening News headed to the scene to find out more.
Julie Neil - a lifelong Salford resident who lives on Langworthy Road with her partner, John - boasts of the transformation of Salford Quays from its industrial past to a bustling hub.
“For me, my job and life is in Salford Quays and I wouldn’t move away - why would I? Everything is on our doorstep, it’s stunning,” she says.
Julie adds: “We knew it when it was just the Docks, wasteland and nothingness.
“It’s amazing to see how much investment has undergone from its industrial past to a thriving space. I think people prefer to live here over Manchester now, it's prettier and nicer.”
