Arctic Monkeys announce South American tour dates

Arctic Monkeys have announced plans for a series of tour dates in South America later this year.The band are set to hit the road with Interpol for a mixture of arena and festival dates across Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Paraguay in November.The jaunt will kick off at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro on November 1 before calling at a number of Primavera Sound shows and wrapping up for an arena show in Peru on November 15.You can view the dates below and purchase tickets here.We are pleased to announce our headline shows and festival appearances in South America this November with a further date in Colombia to be announced soon. Alt-J announce London show to mark debut album’s 10th anniversary

Alt J have today (April 14) unveiled details of a one-off anniversary show at Brixton Academy.The gig will be a special one-off live performance of their 2012 debut album, ‘An Awesome Wave’, which went on to win the Mercury Prize.The band will be playing the album in full along with some “bonus tracks” at London’s O2 Brixton Academy on May 17. Tickets are on sale here next Friday (April 22) at 10am.The show is to take place during the band’s run at O2 Brixton Academy in support of their fourth and most recent album, ‘The Dream’.Speaking about the special gig, the band said: “To celebrate the ten year anniversary of the album that changed our lives, we are thrilled to announce an extra show at Brixton Academy where we will play An Awesome Wave in full.“We know how much this record means to our fans and can’t wait to turn back the clock to 2012 with them in London’s best venue.” Speaking to NME recently, frontman Joe Newman said that Alt-J have “never stopped celebrating our debut album”.“We’ve never stopped playing those songs live,” he added about the continued inclusion of tracks from ‘An Awesome Wave’ in their setlist.

The Chemical Brothers have announced an expanded, anniversary edition of their second record ‘Dig Your Own Hole’.Originally released on this day (April 7) in 1997, ‘Dig You Own Hole’ features two UK Number One singles (‘Block Rockin’ Beats’ and ‘Setting Sun’) and went on to top the UK album charts as well as sell over half a million copies in the United States.To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the band are releasing a special, three-LP vinyl reissue on July 29 (limited to 1997 and available here) alongside both a CD and digital release.The reissue will feature the original album, alongside five new tracks.
