Glastonbury Festival fans have been sharing their thoughts on this year’s line-up following the first wave of acts being announced this morning (March 14).Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA will headline the iconic Pyramid Stage at the 2024 edition of the Worthy Farm event, with Shania Twain scheduled to take on the prestigious legends slot.Other acts on the poster include LCD Soundsystem, Little Simz, Burna Boy, PJ Harvey, Cyndi Lauper, Michael Kiwanuka, Janelle Monae, Olivia Dean, Paloma Faith and Keane – all of whom will grace the Pyramid.Idles, Disclosure and The National are scheduled to top the Other Stage. Little Simz has spoken about her forthcoming performance at Glastonbury 2024, teasing that fans can expect “an immersive experience”.The Mercury Prize-winning rapper is set to perform on the iconic Pyramid Stage at this year’s edition of the festival, which will be headlined by Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA.Simz headlined the Wests Holts Stage in 2022, with NME saying that the show delivered “flawless determinism from rap’s tour de force” in a four-star review. As lighter nights and sunnier days are around the corner, so is Glastonbury 2024.The music festival is set to return for its 54th year from Wednesday June 26 to Sunday June 30, and is welcoming a string of music icons to the Worthy Farm grounds in Somerset.This year, Glastonbury is also making history as it marks the first time ever that female musicians have taken two out of the three headline slots.The three headliners for this year are Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA, with it being a Pyramid stage debut for both Dua, who performed at The Brits last month, and SZA. While the coveted 'legends slot', which takes place on the Sunday, has also been snapped up by a female too, and none other than the Queen Of Country Pop, Shania Twain.

Mad Cool has announced a series of improvements to the festival site in time for the 2024 edition.The festival is set to return to the Spanish city of Madrid for the seventh time later this summer, running between July 10 and July 13.Now, before the 2024 instalment kicks off – with artists including Dua Lipa, Pearl Jam and Bring Me The Horizon leading the line-up – the festival organisers have announced a list of improvements made to the site.Taking place at the Iberdrola Music venue, the enhancements come following audience feedback, and include a reduction of capacity going forward. Unlike previous years, Mad Cool 2024 will now have a reduced capacity, to improve the flow of people both inside and outside the venue and reduce the queues across the site.Additionally, 2024 will also see the number of stages at the festival site reduced from eight to six – an adjustment to once again aid the flow of people, as well as minimise schedule clashes and prevent noise bleed across stages.Elsewhere, more bathroom facilities and water supply points will be added, as well as an increased number of wristband charging points and more relaxing areas across the space.More food options will also be added to the restaurant area, as will more bar spaces.

Michael Kiwanuka, Faithless, Bicep and Jessie Ware have been confirmed as the headliners for Wilderness Festival 2024.The event will return to Cornbury Park in Oxfordshire on the weekend of August 1-4 this year. Other acts set to play at the festival include the likes of Bill Bailey, Oh My God! Jem Aswad Senior Music Editor Sault, the intentionally shadowy British R&B outfit led by Little Simz/ Michael Kiwanuka/ Adele producer Inflo, are back with a new EP called “Angel” — which is actually a single 10-minute song that is more like three different songs and a spoken-word passage combined into one. While details on the release are slim (as always with this group), presumably an album is not far behind. Not surprisingly, the new release is different from virtually everything the innovative R&B group has released in the past. “Angel” starts off like a power-trio version of a Bob Marley song, with a male reggae vocalist — apparently Jamaican singer Chronixx, who is credited on the song along with Inflo and British singer Jack Penate — singing over a jazzy drumbeat and a repetitive lead guitar hook. But after three minutes, the song stops and shifts into a piano-led ballad, with Chronixx continuing on theme about Zion, but with a gorgeous soulful chorus backing him. A spoken word passage then follows, and the song concludes with what is basically a third song, a gentle acoustic song that fades out with a “Soul Rebel” chorus.
