Arctic Monkeys announce South American tour dates

Sunny Day Real Estate have confirmed a headline tour of North America across September, October and December of 2022.The tour, announced yesterday (May 16), will serve as the band’s first headlining tour since 2010. Three of the band’s four founding members – frontman Jeremy Enigk, guitarist Dan Hoerner and drummer William Goldsmith – were all confirmed to be part of the band’s 2022 reunion earlier this year.Prior to the tour’s announcement, the band had announced two festival dates – Chicago’s Riot Fest and Furnace Fest in Birmingham, Alabama.

Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders has dropped a few hint about what fans can expect from their forthcoming new album - which is apparently pretty much "ready to go."

Matt Helders has spoken about Arctic Monkeys’ upcoming new album, saying that musically it “picks up where ‘Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino’ left off”.The Sheffield four-piece have yet to officially announce the follow-up to their May 2018 album, but new music from the band is expected to arrive this year given that the Monkeys are heading out on tour in August.AM drummer Helders has now given fans an indication about what to expect from their next record. Jack Harlow has announced an arena tour of North America in support of his second studio album, ‘Come Home The Kids Miss You’.The tour, announced today (May 10), will start in Nashville at the city’s Municipal Auditorium. An ensuing 21 dates will follow across September and October, wrapping at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on October 16.

Jack Harlow has opened up about Lil Nas X, saying that some of the homophobic reactions to the latter’s work shows there’s still much “progress to be made” in hip-hop.Harlow was speaking in an interview with The Guardian where he reflected on working with Lil Nas X on their 2021 hit ‘Industry Baby’.After calling him a “boundary pusher”, Harlow added that some of the reaction to Lil Nas X’s work showed there was still much work to be done in hip-hop when it comes to eradicating homophobia.“The totally inappropriate reaction to [Lil Nas X] lets you know that we still have some progress to be made,” Harlow said when speaking about LGBTQ+ artists in hip-hop.“And you hear it in passing; there’s still some homophobia going on. But he’s taking the hit that artists won’t have to take in the future.

South Central-born R&B artist Blxst is seeing a surge of momentum after the well-received release of his debut album Before You Go, so he's heading out on tour. As studios meet in Las Vegas to present footage of there upcoming slates to exhibitors,  Netflix is showcasing there own slate of future feature films as it has unveiled its upcoming summer slate of original movies. Some of the films receiving new release dates include the Vampire thriller Day Shift starring Jamie Foxx, which is set to bow on August 12, the Kevin Hart-Mark Wahlberg comedy Me Time, bowing on Aug. 26 and the Dakota Johnson drama Persuasion, bowing July 15.  The streamer also confirmed dates of some highly-anticipated films that had previously been announced like the Adam Sandler sports pic Hustle, which bows on June 8, the Chris Hemsworth-Miles Teller Thriller Spiderhead, which bows on June 17 and most recently the The Russo Brothers next film The Gray Man, starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans, which will premiere on July 22.
