Maya Jama has touched down in Cape Town, South Africa ahead of the Love Island All Stars launch.
The spin-off show will start on Monday, 15 January, and it will see some old Love Island stars from across all series enter a villa for a second chance at love. Maya, 29, is once again the host of the show and she's already in South Africa, as she gave her fans plenty of updates from her journey.
Prior to leaving the UK, Maya took herself for a facial and she took a video, smiling, as her beautician got to work. Over the clip, shared to her Instagram stories, Maya wrote: "Final mot check before South Africa." The star, who is dating rapper Stormzy, later videoed herself as she enjoyed a cocktail in the departures lounge, before she showed off the staff in the lounge, who she has become very acquainted with from her years of flying.
Following that, she snapped a pic of them as she added a number of red love heart emojis and wrote: "They've been the cutest pals in the lounge throughout the years." On the plane, she watched a programme about Aretha Franklin, as she wrote: "Obsessed with this Aretha Franklin series. "Felt happiness, heartbreak and admiration the whole way through.
An icon." She also enjoyed a nap during the almost-12 hour flight, as she posted a photo of herself snuggled up in a white duvet whilst flashing a peace sign with her hand. Maya also posted a heartfelt message to her fans about people trying to "bring down" women "for being themselves because they didn't fit into other people's ideas of what they 'should be' or choices they 'should make'.

Maya Jama tells us there’s not an easy way to her heart as she shimmers beneath the South African sunshine at the sumptuous Love Island villa, before adding coyly, “There shouldn’t be an easy way to anyone’s heart.” She’s the glamorous host of the nation’s favourite dating show, but Maya’s lessons in love have all been learned firsthand from her own roller-coaster love life. The TV presenter, 29, is once again wrapped up with her soulmate Stormzy, 30, four years after their romance first ended following rumours he’d cheated. Maya cut him out of her life but, in Love Island parlance, Stormzy didn’t stop grafting, writing songs about Maya and telling the world, “I want to marry her, I want to have her children.” For a while his declarations fell on deaf ears and in 2021, NBA player Ben Simmons proposed to Maya with a dazzling emerald-cut diamond ring worth £800,000.
Georgia Steel first rose to fame as a bombshell, who joined the villa on Love Island UK in 2018.The 25 year old is back on our screens as she returns to the All Stars villa for a second attempt at finding love. There was plenty of drama raised from the first episode of Love Island All Stars (four exes back in a villa together? Brutal) but the most amount of drama came from Maya Jama's hair, in the best possible way.
