Mauricio Pochettino is 'no longer favourite' to become Manchester United's next permanent manager.
That's according to The Guardian who claim Pochettino has slipped from being the 'favoured candidate' to now being considered alongside Erik ten Hag. Pochettino and Ten Hag are currently in work at Paris Saint-Germain and Ajax respectively.
While it's suggested there are other candidates to that highly touted pair, the article claims those at Old Trafford are great admirers of Pochettino and Ten Hag. Despite the report outlining Pochettino is now considered as equal with Ten Hag, the former Tottenham boss is said to be 'seriously interested' in the position, albeit it's claimed United are 'worried' about luring him from PSG.

After a difficult first season at the club, Pochettino has PSG in a strong position this term and he's under contract in Paris until 2023. It's also worth noting United did send enquiries for Pochettino in October but that PSG rebuffed those advances.
Regardless, United's search for a new manager is well underway and Ralf Rangnick will move upstairs at the end of the season.
