Manchester United are reportedly interested in Benfica star Darwin Nunez but they have been told they will need to splash out in excess of €60m (£50m) if they want to sign him.
West Ham were interested in the talisman's services during the January transfer window but saw their approach rebuffed. The Uruguayan has been in top form this season and it has been reported that his valuation is only going to increase.
Interim manager Ralf Rangnick has previously admitted the need for striking additions at Old Trafford, with Cristiano Ronaldo one of the only fit frontmen available to the United boss.

Edinson Cavani, who is currently sidelined with a groin problem, is due to leave the club at the end of the season upon the expiry of his contract.
Portuguese outlet Record, via Sport Witness, reports that United are 'interested' in Nunez. But with 20 goals in 20 league outings, it has been suggested that Benfica's original valuation of €50m (£37m) will be 'insufficient' come the summer.
Meanwhile, El Chiringuito says United have offered Barcelona contract rebel Ronald Araujo around £160,000-a-week as they look to prise the defender away from Camp Nou.
Barca manager Xavi is said to be keen on keeping him at the La Liga club but United have reportedly offered double what Barcelona could be willing to offer in his latest contract extension talks.
