Manchester United greats Denis Irwin, Bryan Robson and Andy Cole believe Erik ten Hag should offer Jonny Evans a longer contract.
The 35-year-old has joined United on a short-term contract as he builds up his fitness after leaving Leicester City. Ten Hag praised Evans for his performance in pre-season against Lyon and included him in the squad for United's tour of the USA.

In the eyes of Cole, Robson and Irwin, they believe Evans would be a solid addition to the squad. All three outlined the merits of handing him a longer deal.

I’ll be happy if they did extend it, definitely.”
