Manchester United will look to keep up the pressure on the top four as they host Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League.
Erik ten Hag’s side won at Old Trafford in midweek, with their 2-1 win bringing them to within three points of Manchester City in fourth place. However, they face the challenge of a Bournemouth side who also won in midweek away at Crystal Palace and have been in resurgent form of late.
Andoni Iraola’s Cherries side have gone four games unbeaten in recent weeks, winning three of those matches to create breathing space between them and the relegation zone. They have, however, never won at Old Trafford in the Premier League and will come into the match hopeful rather than expectant of a positive result.
United have adjusted well to their lengthy injury list, particularly in defence, with Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw forming a solid defensive partnership in the absence of Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez. There are also positives in midfield, with the growing pair of Scott McTominay and Kobbie Mainoo having yielded good performances, particularly from McTominay, who scored a brace against Chelsea.
