Manchester United are currently 'monitoring the situation' concerning midfielder Adrien Rabiot's future at Juventus.
That is according to a report by Italian news outlet Calciomercato, which claims that United are mulling over the possibility of signing him in 2024. Rabiot was close to joining the Reds in August last year but the deal collapsed because of the Frenchman's wage demands.
United, at the time of first registering their interest in Rabiot, were desperate to strengthen their midfield options and they have since added the likes of Casemiro, Mason Mount and Sofyan Amrabat to their talent pool. The latter joined United earlier this month on a season-long loan deal from Fiorentina.

Amrabat was drafted in to add an extra layer of defensive protection in midfield, and United have the option to turn his loan move into a permanent switch next year. However, Rabiot, depending on his contractual situation at Juventus, could be available for free next summer.
His current deal expires at the end of this campaign, meaning he will be available for free in less than a year's time, unless, of course, he signs a new contract. He could also be available for a cut-price deal in January.
The 28-year-old, who joined Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain in 2019, has made five appearances for the Italian heavyweights so far this season, scoring one goal. He scored in their 3-0 opening day triumph over Udinese last month.
