Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag wants at least one more signing beyond Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayındır.
Bayindir, 25, is expected to join United in a €5million (£4.29m) deal and the club are exploring options to reinforce at left-back, with Luke Shaw set to be sidelined for at least two months with a muscular injury.
Sergio Reguilon of Tottenham, Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella and Barcelona full-back Marcos Alonso are among the left-backs under consideration by United. A move for either Spaniard would be a loan arrangement.
Goalkeeper Dean Henderson is on the verge of completing a transfer to Crystal Palace for £20m plus add-ons. Crystal Palace sporting director Dougie Freedman was in the Old Trafford directors' box for United's 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday and Henderson travelled down to London with his agent that evening.

United refused to let Henderson leave until they had agreed a deal for Bayindir. United had a bid accepted for Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki earlier this month but he rejected them.
Although United have indicated Bayindir could be the only incoming, agency sources have suggested they are under-promising ahead of the possibility of over-delivering.
United have been in the market for another midfielder but club sources say if Sofyan Amrabat does leave Fiorentina it is unlikely to be for United.
Amrabat, 26, is one of 10 midfielders United have tracked but senior figures have repeatedly insisted their interest has been overstated by the Italian media.
