Man dies after emergency services called to Barton Bridge on M60

A man has died after emergency services were called to a concern for welfare on the M60. Police were called to Barton Bridge on the motorway at about 9pm on Saturday (July 23).
A man was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the man's death, Greater Manchester Police has confirmed.

In a statement, a force spokesperson said: “At around 9pm on Saturday 23 July 2022, police were called to a report of concern for the welfare of a man on Barton Bridge on M60 motorway. Officers attended.
"He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene a short time later. There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.”
