A disgruntled father has slammed Manchester Airport as a 'ghastly place to travel from' after his daughter and wife suffered delays while travelling on separate flights from Manchester to Toronto.

Emergency services were called to Manchester Airport after a baggage truck crashed.
The incident happened at around 3.15pm yesterday (Tuesday). A baggage vehicle was involved in a 'minor collision' with one of the buildings at the airport, an airport spokesperson said.
One man was assessed by paramedics as firefighters made the scene safe. No serious injuries were reported and no passengers were involved.

An airport spokesperson added that no structural damage was caused. A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "At around 3.15pm on Tuesday 2 August, firefighters were called out to Manchester Airport where a baggage truck had collided with a barrier.
“One fire engine from Wythenshawe Fire Station attended, helping the Airport Fire Service to make the scene safe. One male casualty was assessed by North West Ambulance Service at the scene.”
