Haaland played the full 90 minutes but struggled to leave his mark, a late miss from a few yards out summing up a frustrating afternoon. By contrast Nunez made a huge impact off the bench, winning a penalty when his header struck the hand of Ruben Dias before heading home Liverpool's third goal in injury-time.
Of course, how each player will fare in their first seasons in English football cannot be judged off the back of one game, but former Premier League champion Lescott believes that Haaland will enjoy the better campaign.
