Manchester City midfielder Rodri believes that Liverpool won't be the Blues' only title challengers this season, but he trusts City's transfer business to give them the advantage.
After City and Liverpool were the only real contenders last season, it looks like the title race will be a more competitive affair this time round. Plenty of other sides have reinforced in key areas, meaning that City will have to work even harder to try and maintain their place on top of the pile.
In an interview that was included in the matchday programme for the Community Shield meeting between City and Liverpool last weekend, Rodri shared his thoughts on the state of City and their title rivals heading into the new season.

"The quality and standard of both teams [City and Liverpool] is unbelievable. You cannot make one mistake when you are fighting for titles against them. It will be the same next season, I am sure," Rodri said. "Not just Liverpool, but Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, [Manchester] United.
"We just have to focus on ourselves as always, focus on each game and we will see if we can make it three Premier League titles in a row. They’re a top team and have great players in every position, like us.
"They’re [Liverpool] so demanding. They’re a top team and have great players in every position, like us. It’s so intense, whether it’s at the Etihad, Anfield, Wembley or any other stadium. The level is so high."
Rodri admitted that Liverpool and City's other rivals have strengthened this summer, but said the Blues haven't done badly either.
"Like all top teams they [Liverpool] try to strengthen their side every season," Rodri added.
