Part of a busy Bolton road has been closed this morning following a crash. Two vehicles were involved in the collision on Manchester Road, in Moses Gate, at around 10am today (August 1).
North West Ambulance Service confirmed that two ambulances were called out to the scene, near to the junction with Loxham Street, following the collision. Officers closed off the road southbound, with traffic heading towards Manchester diverted to use the A666 St Peter's Way.
Greater Manchester Police says no serious injuries were reported following the smash. Further details about the nature of the collision are yet to be confirmed.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "Officers were called at around 10am this morning (Monday, August 1 2022) to reports of a two vehicle collision. No serious injuries have been reported."
Drivers were warned to expect delays in the area while local bus services were also disrupted following the crash. Officers begun managing traffic past the scene at around 11am, before the road reopened fully after 11.30am, Transport for Greater Manchester said.
