A man has been charged with criminal damage after the Manchester Arena memorial was vandalised.
Anwar Hosseni, 24, of Twillbrook Drive, Salford, appeared at Tameside Magistrates Court this morning.
It comes after police were made aware of damage to the 'Glade of Light' memorial on Victoria Street in Manchester city centre on Wednesday morning (February 9).

A series of lines were scratched into the white marble 'halo' featuring the names of the 22 who died in the May 2017 attack.
Mr Hosseni has been remanded into custody and is due to appear again at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on March 23.
The memorial was opened to the public last month.
An official unveiling will take place in the spring ahead of the fifth anniversary of the attack.
