David Moyes is remaining tight-lipped over a possible move for Jesse Lingard to West Ham in the summer.
The winger came close to joining Newcastle on loan during the January transfer window, only for Manchester United to block the move late on deadline day.
Instead, Lingard will remain at Old Trafford for the rest of the season before his contract runs out in the summer, when he’s expected to leave the club for free.
West Ham have long held an interest in Lingard, having taken him on a successful loan spell last season which brought the 29-year-old back into contention for the England squad ahead of Euro 2020.

Their hopes of taking him on loan again last month though were denied, with United not willing to allow one of their players to move to one of their rivals for the top four in the Premier League.
“We certainly did [get close to deals] but for different reasons it didn't quite happen,” Moyes said ahead of the Hammers’ FA Cup fourth round tie against non-league Kidderminster.
Moyes didn’t confirm who the Hammers had been targeting, although their interest in taking on Lingard again is well documented.
The former United boss also defended his club’s board after they came under criticism from supporters for not showing enough ambition during the window.
