A boy aged 16 has been charged with sexual assault after a woman was attacked in Fallowfield, police said today (February 12).
The teenager cannot be named for legal reasons because of his age.
Greater Manchester Police said on Saturday he remained in custody.

A force spokesman said the boy was due to appear at Manchester magistrates court later today - Saturday.
Police were called at 2.25am to Wellington Road, Fallowfield, on February 4.
GMP said it followed a report a woman was grabbed on the road then sexually assaulted.
No further details have been revealed.
In a statement on Saturday, GMP said: "A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with sexual assault.
"He has been remanded into custody ahead of an appearance at Manchester Youth Court on 12 February 2022.
"Police were called around 2.25am on 4 February 2022 to a report of a sexual assault on Wellington Road, Old Moat, Manchester.
"Enquiries established a woman had been grabbed by a man on the road and sexually assaulted."
