A man has been charged with child abduction after police were called to an Aldi store in Heywood last weekend.
An immediate investigation was launched following the incident, with CCTV from the premises being reviewed. A man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of kidnap.
And on Saturday morning, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said a man has been charged. "We’ve had charges authorised for a 59-year-old man after an initial report of an attempted abduction of a child at a store in Heywood a week ago," they said.
