A woman has been charged with the attempted murder of a 20-year-old man at Handforth train station last week. Officers were called to the scene, on Station Road, last Tuesday evening (July 26).
Emergency services attended at around 7pm following a concern for the welfare of two people. A 53-year-old woman was then arrested by cops at the station and appeared at court on Thursday (July 28). She has since been remanded in custody until her next appearance.
The young man did not sustain any injuries in the incident but police are still appealing for anyone with information to come forward as their investigations continue.

British Transport Police have said that the attempted murder was an 'isolated incident' and that officers have since been conducting various enquiries around the local area. Witnesses are urged to make contact if they know any information.
Detective Inspector Granville Sellers said: “I’d like to firstly to reassure the public that this was an isolated incident. Officers have been conducting a number of enquiries in the local area and we’d like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or the events leading up to it in the area to get in touch with us to assist the investigation."
