A man has been charged with allegedly selling crack cocaine from behind a city centre hotel. Edward Afekafe, 40, of Warbeck Road, Manchester has been charged with possession with intent to supply.

Three men have been arrested after police raided a cricket club suspected of being used to store stolen vehicles. Officers made the arrests after swooping on Burnage Community Sports and Social Club - also known as Burnage Cricket Club - earlier today (Thursday).
Two stolen vehicles were found at the site, in Mauldeth Road, along with a number of vehicle keys and licence plates. A haul of weapons and a dog suspected of being a banned breed were also seized.
Three men, aged 18, 20 and 32, have been arrested on suspicion of offences including burglary, possession with intent to supply a controlled substance and possession of an offensive weapon. They remain in custody for questioning.

PC Collister, of Greater Manchester Police, said: “The operation today was intelligence led and built on weeks of surveillance. In the past two weeks alone, we recovered three stolen vehicles from the South Manchester Function Suite - more commonly known as Burnage Cricket Club – and it was suspected the premises was being used to store stolen vehicles and articles used in the commission of burglary.
“Burglary is one of the most intrusive and frightening crimes a person can experience and I hope the activity today demonstrates that Greater Manchester Police will take robust action against this type of crime.
"If you have been the victim of burglary or have had your belongings stolen, please report it to us. Our fight against burglary is ongoing and your information can help us to bring burglars and handlers of stolen goods to justice.”
