A man arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman was found dead at a flat in Tameside remains in police custody.

A man whose body was discovered at Chorlton Water Park can be named. The body of 31-year-old Iain Bruce-McArdle was discovered at the popular south Manchester beauty spot early in the morning on Tuesday, July 19.
Emergency services attended after police said they were called to a concern for the welfare of a man at around 5:10am. He was pronounced dead at the scene, they said.
The Manchester Evening News understands the body was not discovered in the water at the park.

There were not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding Mr Bruce-McArdle's death, GMP said, indicating a file would be passed to the city's coroner.
Manchester Coroner's Court have now confirmed Mr McArdle's death has been referred to them. An inquest is due to be opened on Thursday, August 16.
Parts of the park were cordoned off as officers dealt with the aftermath of the incident.
In a statement issued at the time GMP said: "At around 5.10am on 19 July 2022, police received a report of concern for the welfare of a man at Chorlton Water Park.
"Emergency services attended and a man was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. The death is not believed to be suspicious."
