A man has been charged with soliciting to commit murder and kidnap in relation to This Morning star Holly Willoughby. The man, from Harlow, Essex, is due to appear in court today following an arrest in the town this week.
Mum of three Holly, 42, is reportedly under police guard following an alleged plot to kidnap her this week. Alison Hammond stepped in for her on This Morning due to the concerns for her safety.
Essex Police confirmed they had arrested a 36-year-old man at an address in Harlow on Wednesday this week (October 4). Gavin Plumb, of Potters Field in the town, has now been charged in relation to the case, reports EssexLive.

Plumb is charged with soliciting to commit murder and incitement to commit kidnap, along with one other count. He has been remanded into custody and will appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court today (October 6).
Detective Superintendent Rob Kirby said “This was an extremely fast paced investigation, with many of our officers and national partners working overnight to secure these charges. The safeguarding of any victim is paramount and we will continue to prioritise this and working with the Metropolitan Police Service as the investigation proceeds.”

On her self-titled show on Thursday morning, ITV colleague Lorraine Kelly sent her best wishes to Holly and her family.
