The reality TV personality and businesswoman took to social media to share her environmentally responsible wrapping idea, which features her brand’s cotton t-shirt fabric.“I wrapped all of my holiday gifts in a skim cotton T-shirt fabric,” she explained, revealing that it’s “all reusable.” Kim’s idea replaces the single-use paper that often ends up in landfills. On several occasions, Kardashian has said that she doesn’t have anything colorful or tons of furniture at her home because she wants a zen space; therefore, her choice of wrapping fabric color matches her home aesthetic.Kim Kardashian’s extravagant Christmas decorations include dozens of white trees inside her homeKhloé Kardashian has decked her mansion with impressive Christmas decorationsWhy Uruguay is the only Latin American country that doesn’t celebrate Christmas? The gift wrapping, while unconventional, still gives a vibe of minimalism and elegance, as the white fabric is neatly tied with a knot, a feature that is hard to get with simple gift-wrapping paper.Kim transformed her lavish mansion in Hidden Hills with over a dozen Christmas trees, causing mixed reactions among online users.

Spotify pulls out of two French festivals over tax row

Spotify has pulled out of two music festivals in France after the country changed its tax laws in relation to streaming services. The company confirmed that it was withdrawing its support from Francofolies de La Rochelle and Printemps de Bourges as of next year.Earlier this month (via EuroNews), French President Emmanuel Macron announced that the country was introducing a new tax measure on music streaming services that would be “based on a very low rate of levy on the turnover” of the services. The country’s Ministry of Culture confirmed the details on December 13, saying that the tax contribution would be “at a rate of 1.2 per cent of [streaming services’] turnover in France”, although platforms with turnover of less than €20 million would be exempt. In response, Spotify have argued for a voluntary contribution instead of the tax. “This is a real blow to innovation, and to the growth prospects of recorded music in France,” said a representative of the company.

Society of the Snow, directed by Spanish filmmaker J.A. Bayona and Spain’s submission into the 2024 Oscar race, is based on the true story of the 1972 Andes flight disaster in which a flight carrying Uruguay’s Old Christians Club rugby team for a match in Santiago, Chile, crashed on a glacier at the Valle de las Lágrimas (Valley of Tears).

The Partnership: J.A. Bayona & Author Pablo Vierci Tell The Real Story Behind ‘Society Of The Snow’

In 1972, a small passenger plane crashed into a mountain in the Andes, its tail and wings ripping off in the impact. When the fuselage came to rest on the snow, it contained 33 survivors, among them the young members of a Uruguayan rugby team. Over an unimaginable 72 days, they would contend with starvation, exposure, hypothermia and two avalanches, until only 16 remained alive. Ultimately, they were forced to make an agonizing choice: consume the bodies of the dead or die themselves. J.A. Bayona’s film Society of the Snow, based on Pablo Vierci’s book of the same name, takes a fresh look at the story, giving voice to both the dead and the living. Here, the Spanish filmmaker and the Uruguayan author discuss how they collaborated to tell a vital story of human will and sacrifice that would honor the real experience of the survivors and their dear departed friends.
