Deaths from liver cancer are becoming more and more common, according to Cancer Research UK, who says mortality rates have more than tripled from 2017 to 2019.
And overall, it's the eighth most common cause of cancer death in this country - so keeping an eye out for the warning symptoms is vital. Liver cancer can strike at any age, however it's more common in older people.
There are several different factors that can determine if you're likely to develop it or not - ranging from age and genetics to the type of lifestyle you lead, Bristol Live reports.
The disease is now the fastest rising cause of cancer deaths in the UK, with case rates expected to rise by six per cent between 2023 and 2025, according to Liver Cancer UK.

The whites of your eyes turning yellow or your skin turning yellow, which may be less obvious on brown or black skin (jaundice) – you may also have itchy skin, darker pee and paler poo than usual
Loss of appetite or losing weight without trying to
Feeling tired or having no energy
Feeling generally unwell or having symptoms like flu
A lump in the right side of your stomach
Feeling or being sick
Pain at the top right side of your tummy or in your right shoulder
Symptoms of indigestion, such as feeling full very quickly when eating
A very swollen tummy that is not related to when you eat
The NHS website says: "Many of these symptoms are very common and can be caused by different conditions.. Having them does not definitely mean you have liver cancer. But it's important to get them checked by a GP.
