A child was left needing 60 stitches on her face after being mauled by a dog in an alleged attack in Glasgow.
Four-year-old Harley Chatterton was in her gran's friend's communal garden on Bredishold Road, Baillieston at around 4.30pm on May 14, when a dog savaged her face leaving her with multiple wounds.
The youngster was attacked by a one-year-old Jackador dog.
Harley was heard screaming in pain as multiple women rushed to pull the dog off of her.
She sustained 13 injuries on her face, including deep lacerations on her nose, mouth and lip.
Doctors told her heartbroken parents Caprice and Stephen that their daughter may be left with permanent scarring.
Mum-of-three Caprice Finlay told the Daily Record: "Only time will tell if the scars will disappear. The surgeon gave us scarring cream, but said they could be there forever."
Harley's gran Janet Finlay witnessed the dog pounce on her granddaughter from a nearby balcony and quickly ran to her aid.
She was left covered in blood as she attempted to free the terrified tot from the dog's grip.
Caprice said she feared the worst when she arrived shortly after the incident and saw her mum drenched in blood.
The 24-year-old added: "All I had been told was that Harley had been attacked by a dog. I didn't know where or how bad it was. Me and Stephen got there quickly after it happened.
"The first thing I saw was my mum covered in blood. I was horrified, I knew it must have been serious.
"When I saw my little girl's face I was heartbroken. She was in so much pain and wouldn't let anyone near her. She was crying hysterically."
Emergency services were called to the scene and Harley was rushed to the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow.
The following day she underwent plastic surgery
