Lidl has recalled one of its food items after a labelling error rendered it 'unsafe to eat.'
The product had a use-by date reading 'Jun 25,' but this should instead have said 'Jan 25.' Lidl Northern Ireland confirmed its packs of Deluxe Irish Carved Peppered Turkey Breast, weighing 130g, were affected.
Customers who have bought the product are being advised not to eat it. Lidl said: "Our supplier, Flamewood is recalling the above Deluxe Irish Carved Peppered Turkey Breast due to the incorrect use by date printed on the product.

"The use by in 25 Jan. No other use by dates or Deluxe products are affected."
Instead, shoppers can return the turkey to the store they originally bought it from for a full refund, with or without a receipt. The supermarket added: "Lidl wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused. Any customers with queries or concerns can contact our customer services team."
It comes as Lidl was among a number of supermarkets accused of ripping off customers through the rest of the year after massive price cuts before Christmas. The festive season saw a number of the main supermarkets selling vegetables, including big bags of potatoes, for just 15p.

Among them was Lidl, from where we shared a photo of its discounted display, showing swede, sprouts, carrots, parsnips and more. Now, prices of veg are back up across the board though - and it's the dramatic drop before Christmas which has sparked criticism from customers.
