It will follow the life and career of the iconic London singer, with the title role being taken on by Marisa Abela.Now, details of the official soundtrack to the movie have been shared – featuring songs by the singer herself, as well as tracks by other iconic artists.Titled ‘Back To Black: Songs from the Original Motion Picture’, the compilation album is set for release on May 17 via UMR/Island Records, and features three original recordings from Winehouse’s highly influential debut, ‘Frank’ and three songs from her multi-award-winning LP ‘Back To Black.It also includes a new original track called ‘Song for Amy’, which is sung by Nick Cave.Cave, along with longtime collaborator Warren Ellis, composed and recorded the film’s score.A further 5 songs are included on the album, recorded by artists whom Amy Winehouse saw as an inspiration.

Also set for 2025, “The Choice” stars Jones and Delpy as the British Prime Minister and French President, respectively, in what is being described as a high-stakes political thriller.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter Jamie Dornan will lead the cast of a new crime noir series that has been ordered at Netflix titled “The Undertow,” Variety has learned exclusively. “The Undertow” is based on the Nordisk Film Production AS television series “Twin” created by Kristoffer Metcalfe. Danni Menzies may be best known for her upbeat personality when she presented Channel 4 property show A Place In The Sun, but 17 months ago the 36-year-old’s life was thrown into turmoil when she was hit by a stolen moped.The Scottish presenter was knocked unconscious during the horror smash in October 2022 – and was left with two black eyes, a bloody cut on her eyebrow and a graze running from her nose and across her lip.The crash happened outside a newsagents when two women attempted to steal the moped in Battersea, south London, and drive off with it, before losing control and hitting Danni at 30mph. Covered in blood, Danni was rushed to hospital in an ambulance. She suffered with post-traumatic stress disorder and post-traumatic vertigo following the incident.

When Icelandic directors Smari Gunn and Logi Sigursveinsson set out to make The Home Game, they couldn’t have imagined the response this small, local Icelandic documentary would gather on the festival circuit. The film, which follows a group of spirited underdogs as they fight for local soccer glory, is coming off the back of a rapturous reception at the Glasgow Film Festival, where it won the fest’s prestigious Audience Award. It previously screened at the Tromso International Film Festival, DOC NYC and Nordisk Panorama.

The Black Keys have added two extra shows in Cardiff and Dublin to their 2024 UK and Ireland tour.The blues rock duo last week announced a show in Manchester and two at London’s Brixton Academy this spring.They’ve now added a new pair of dates, which will see them perform at Cardiff’s Utilita Arena on April 30 and Dublin’s 3Arena on May 3.
