The actor, who starred alongside Harrison Ford in Blade Runner, died of a cardiac arrest.
M. Emmet, whose real name was Michael Emmet Walsh, began working in 1969 and went onto land roles in films like Blood Simple, Midnight Cowboy, My Best Friend's Wedding, The Iron Giant and Raising Arizona.
He recently played Mr. Proofroc in 2019's Knives Out, alongside Daniel Craig and Chris Evans.
