Aaron Taylor-Johnson has reportedly been offered the role of James Bond, taking over from Daniel Craig in the 007 franchise. It's alleged that the 33-year-old British actor has signed on the dotted line, after "endless discussions" with producers and studio executives. Insiders claim that bosses have tried hard to secure Aaron, who is married to director Sam Taylor-Johnson, for up to four films as Bond.
Producer Barbara Broccoli is said not to be considering anyone else, as Aaron, who has starred in Kick-Ass and Bullet Train, has already started costume fittings.
The source told the Mail: "It is all in the details and agents and lawyers are going through all the red tape and how many movies Aaron will sign up for. "It is currently looking to be a three-picture deal with the option of a fourth.
They have done all the fittings, they have the haircut they have in mind for him, and he's already in tremendous shape. "Barbara Broccoli and the rest of the producers are going to make a huge deal out of the announcement." The insider also claims that an event will be held to reveal Aaron which will be attended by all the previous bonds including George Lazenby, 84, Timothy Dalton, 78, Pierce Brosnan, 70, and Daniel Craig, 56.
It's also alleged that with a new Bond will come a new genre, as bosses would like to make the films "a little more of a fantasy". OK! has reached out to Aaron's representatives for comment. Aaron is keep his cards close to his chest as he told Numero magazine earlier this month: "I find it charming and wonderful that people see me in that role.
